Michael Ballou joined the Victory Life family in 2009 and has served on the Leadership team since 2011. He also led the College bible study from 2011 to 2014 and serves as the faculty mentor for the Texas Tech University student club.
Michael was born and raised in the Central Valley of California and moved to Lubbock in 2007 after accepting a faculty position at Texas Tech. He currently has a split appointment, 50% as the Associate Dean for Research for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources and 50% Research Professor in the Department of Animal and Food Sciences.
Michael married Jacqueline in 2013 and they have one daughter, Addison. Their family enjoys spending time together doing normal day-to-day life. They love sports and getting outdoors. Lubbock is a great city and there is not better place to raise a family.
Gary and his wife Terri moved to Lubbock 5 years ago from Denver for his job. They have been married 22 years and have 4 children between them. Gary accepted Christ as his savior and Lord over 20 years ago. He is involved in Divorce Care and wants to help people that have gone through divorce to heal.
Shane and his family have been members of Victory Life since 2010. Prior to moving to Wolfforth, they lived in Kingwood, TX and were members of Second Baptist Church of Houston. He and Sandra have served in the V-Group ministry since 2011 and he has served on the Leadership Team since 2012. Hannah (age 14) and Davis (age 16) are active in the youth ministry and attend Frenship HS.
Shane has a BS and MS in agriculture from Texas A&M University.
Jason has been a member of Victory Life Baptist since May of 2009. He and his beautiful wife Ashlee have three children, Adlee 12, Reed 8, and Griffin 4. Serving on the Leadership team since 2012, his primary focus has been assisting with the Church Finances. When not serving at the church, Jason is the President and GM of Universal Cash Systems here in Lubbock.
David Drake, age 47, is married to wife Tara, and they have a son, Jackson. He is a Gulf War veteran, United States Marine Corp. BS - ag mechanization. MS - agriculture education. 19 1/2 years in agriculture industry. Store Manager/Sales at the John Deere Dealership in Abernathy. Deacon/V-Group Director at VLife. Honorary member of last pastoral search team.
Raynie Gibbs and her family have been members of Victory Life since moving to Lubbock in August of 2012. They were previously members of First Baptist Church in Odessa. She has been married to Ryan for 15 years and they have 3 young sons, Gabe (9), Graham (6), and Grayson (2).
Raynie serves in the VKids Ministry teaching the three year old class on Sunday mornings and the 1st and 2nd graders on Wednesday night. She helps lead a VGroup with Ryan and Brandon & Stephanie McFadden, as well as being active in the Women’s Ministry.
Raynie has a Master’s degree in Counseling and is a full time faculty member at Texas Tech University, teaching both traditional and distance courses. She has been teaching since 2000 and counseling since 2003.
Scott and his wife Tiffany along with their three girls Katlyn, Gentry, and Avery have been here at Victory Life Church since moving to Lubbock in 2009. They are from the small farming community of Lazbuddie where Scott continues his farming operation. They also own and operate Racer Classic Car Wash here in Lubbock. Scott has served on the Victory Life Leadership Team for 3 years and has accepted the role of chairman of the Pastoral Search Team.
Robert R Madden and his wife Rita have been married 36 years, have 6 children, 12 grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. They have been members of Victory Life since the early beginning when they were meeting in the Holiday Inn. He graduated from Lubbock High in 1954 and Texas Tech in 1961 in Industrial Engineering after serving in the Army. He started his own business in 1979, Robert Madden Ind. Robert was saved at an early age at the First Baptist Church in Lubbock.
Stacy is married to Kecia Nix, and they have two daughters, Brooklyn l4, and Campbell 12. Both of his daughters are involved in the Youth Ministry and volunteer in the Children's Ministry.
Stacy and Kecia have been attending Victory Life Church since 2009 and have served in the Children's Ministry since 2010.
He has served on the Leadership Team since 2013 and on the Deacon's team since 2012 as well.
Stacy says that "God has changed my life through my partnership with Victory Life."
Kelvin and his wife, Donna Ratliff, have 4 children, Lamont 39, Kim 37, Kayla 28, and Danielle 26. He is 57 years old. He was saved at an early age and joined Victory Life in 2007. Kelvin was appointed a deacon of Victory Life in 2012, and was also appointed to be a member of the Leadership Team in 2012.
Bobbie Sue Walker
Dwain and Bobbie Sue moved to Lubbock in April, 2005, and stared visiting VLBC while they were meeting at the Holiday Inn. They joined after they moved to the Science Spectrum that same year. After a few months, they were asked to start a senior adult ministry. In 2006 they began Victory Life's Trailblazer Ministry for senior adults, which continues to be a blessing to them. Dwain and Bobbie Sue began serving as greeters shortly after they joined, and continue in that capacity. Before moving to Lubbock, she had worked in Pampa, TX as a bookkeeper and office manager for an independent oil & gas company for 52 years, and was also a real estate agent. Bobbie Sue had been an active member of First Baptist Church.
David and his wife Vicky have been married 39 years. They have 4 children and 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Raised in Lubbock all his life and married the love of his life, also raised in Lubbock. They have been at Victory Life since it begin in a home, then the party house, to Holiday Inn, Science Spectrum, to the current building we now call home; witnessing Gods Blessing all the way. David is honored to serve on this committee as we truly seek Gods man for his church and our home.
