Dr. Brewer has led FBC Eastland for the last 17 years. He has a B.A. from Austin College, M. Div., Doctorate of Ministry both from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Tx. Shawn married his wife Lauri Brewer in Jan. 1988 and they have three children, Cara, Colton, and Clay. Shawn serves in the local ministerial alliance and is active in both associational and state convention work. His hobbies include hunting, camping, golf, and riding motorcycles.
ASSOCIATE Pastor/YOUTH LEAD TEAM COORDINATOR
Heath was born and raised in Mesquite, TX and has lived in Sulphur Springs, TX for the past 21 years. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University, earned his M.B.A. from Texas A&M-Commerce, and recently completed his Master of Theological Studies degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. Heath served as Youth Pastor for FBC Sulphur Springs from May 2009 - October 2017. He married Karen in July 1989, and they have three girls; Grace, Rachel and Sarah. Heath loves to duck hunt and play golf in his spare time.
Malissa has a passion for worship and a desire for the church to connect with God on a deeper level through the ministry of music. For 18 years Malissa has served in worship ministry through church, conferences, crusades and camps. A Plainview native, she graduated from Wayland Baptist University in 2007 with a BA in Mass Communications and is an Alumna of the Wayland International Choir. She and her husband Adam have been married for 10 years. They enjoy working on their farm & being in ministry together.
Ryan’s calling and passion is to equip a generation to take the gospel to every nation. Ryan and Amy are parents to Olivia and Charlie. He proudly graduated from Tarleton State University and has been studying to complete his Masters of Divinity. The Wood family are proud to call Lubbock their home and love being new Red Raider fans! Robert's desire is for everyone to realize their full potential in Christ! Robert and Patricia are proud parents to Caleb, Catalina, and Carisa. Robert is a Lubbock native and Wayland Baptist University graduate.
Tedye has served as VLife Children’s Pastor since January of 2014. After serving as interim Children’s Pastor, Tedye and Tim knew that the Lord was calling them to be a permanent part of the Victory Life Family. “God’s hand is at work at Victory Life. Both Tim and I have loved this church family and are grateful that we get to be a part of what the Lord is doing at VLife.”
Tedye and Tim have been married for 37 years and have two children, Jenna & Bren. Jenna and her husband Blaine have two children, Blayne Pyper and Prescott Randles! Grandparenting is so much fun and oh how we love those grandbabies! Bren and Kim married this past Christmas and we are delighted that Kim is officially a part of our family!
Tedye has served in children’s ministry since 1981 as a early childhood teacher, then center director before accepting the call to full-time ministry in 1990. She has served at Indiana Avenue Church, Lubbock as well as FBC Allen, FBC Richardson before coming to VLife in 2014. She knows that God has built her to do children’s and family ministry and finds great joy in serving children’s ministry.
“Sharing the gospel with children and their families is a great joy.” In 2012 BaptistWay Press Published Tedye’s book, Kidsfaith which is used to help children and their families have conversations about what is means to be a Christian.

Ryan grew up on the South Plains. He was saved at the age of 5 in Plainview, Texas and surrendered to the ministry when he was 20 years old. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Christian Ministry Degree from Wayland Baptist University. He has a passion for sports and recreation which translates into a desire to lead sports based ministries. Ryan and his wife Hailey have been married since October 2015. Together, they have a passion to see lives changed through local and international missions.
