What We Believe

The Mission

At Victory Life, we make it our purpose to actively engage with our community, bringing the life-changing impact of biblical truth centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ as the focus of what we do. Matthew 28:18-20 are our directives for our ministries.

Our Purpose

Worship: Gather with us weekly to worship.
Connect: Connect with others in a Life Group.
Serve: Serve Jesus in our community and the world.

Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of Victory Life Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

Scripture

The Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.
As we study Scripture, remember these 4 things:
-Scripture says what it says and means what it means
-Interpret Scripture by Scripture
-Scripture never contradicts itself
-Interpret Scripture in context

God

There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise.  God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom,  justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Mankind

Man is the special creation of God, made in His own image. He created them male and female as the crowning work of His creation. In the beginning man was innocent of sin and was endowed by his Creator with freedom of choice. By his free choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race. Only the grace of God can bring man into His holy fellowship and enable man to fulfill the creative purpose of God.

Salvation

Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers as a free gift eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.

The Church

The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
